Women in STEM Africa Summit 2025: Africa’s First Continent-Wide Gathering for Women in STEM
In July 2025, WITIA held the first Women in STEM Africa Summit at KICC in Nairobi, alongside China Trade Week and the Africa Technology Show. Under the theme “Borderless Innovation,” it brought together young innovators, policymakers and industry leaders to talk about AI, cybersecurity and climate tech. Leaders called for more women in tech roles and more investment in mentorship, funding and digital skills. It mattered because it launched WITIA’s platform for connecting African women innovators with investors, partners and policy decisions, and it set up the 2026 edition.
